Fonctions
Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems are now part of the norm when talking about new cars. These systems are more and more present and efficient.
There are many ADAS systems. The more popular ones are: the forward collision warning (FCW), the forward automatic emergency braking (FAEB), the lane departure warning (LDW), the lane keeping assistance (LKA) and the adaptive cruise control (ACC).
Forward Collision Warning
Detects the distance between you and the car in front of yours. If they come too close, an audible alarm will warn you of the danger of a collision.
Forward Automatic Emergency Braking
This system follows the Forward Collision Warning. If an obstacle or another vehicule comes too close to the car, it will brake to avoid or reduce the impact.
Lane Departure Warning
This is an audible or visual signal that warns the driver that the car is deviating from its lane.
Lane Keeping Assistance
With this system, your car helps you stay in the middle of your lane.
Adaptive Cruise Control
Like the good old Cruise Control but better! It keeps your speed while keeping a safe distance between your car and the one in front of you.
